More Good News for Families

Lambeth council,  working with local MP Tessa Jowell,  has secured an extra £9 million in funding for more primary school places for local children from the Labour Government.

Over the past few years the council has worked to eliminate the serious shortage of secondary school places in Lambeth that existed when the Conservatives & Liberal Democrats ran the borough between 2002 and 2006.  Labour has built new secondary schools including the Elmgreen School in Norwood.

Thanks to the proactive steps taken by the council and the government, local families can be reassured that action is being taken to ensure that every child will be able to take a place at a good school in the heart of their local community.
